Water Damage Tips

              THESE ARE SOME TIPS FOR YOU, to minimize the water
damage, flood, or problem in your home or place of business. The best thing
to do is call a water damage expert immediately. Our certified technicians
can be at your home or place of business within a matter of minutes.

DO’s

•        DO prevent electrocution! Stop the Water! Locate the source of the
water and do turn it off. If there is not a way to shut it off there is usually a
main valve located in the front yard closest to the street. If u can’t locate the
valve contact us and we will walk you through the process.

DO Wipe furniture dry and place a foundation underneath to allow base
to dry.

DO remove as much water as possible by mopping or sweeping.

DO Remove wet area rugs or other floor materials that have been

DO lift draperies off carpets or wet walls. One way we tell our
customers to do this; is use a hanger to loop wet draperies through, then
hang the hanger onto the drapery rod

DO Move your paintings, photos, and artwork to a dry safe location

DO Remove wet fabrics and dry them as soon as possible

DO Remove damp books from shelves and spread them out to dry
•        
DO Turn air conditioning system on for maximum drying
•        
DO Wipe excess water from your wood furniture after removing things
on top

DO move computers to a safe dry environment. Remove items and dry
with low pressure air

DONTS:

•        DO NOT use your household vacuum to remove water
•        
DO NOT use anything that has to do with electricity when standing in
wet carpets or flooring. This can cause serious injury or perhaps death

DO NOT lift up carpeting without help from an expert. Doing this
incorrectly can cause damage and can be dangerous from sharp tack strips.

•        
DO NOT turn on ceiling fans or fixtures when ceiling is wet.
•        
DO NOT Use heat to dry closed building interiors; mildew and moisture
damage may result in the cause of this.
